DVRaptor RT Windows 98 Manual Device Driver Installation Before we start this procedure you will want to know what folder contains the uncompressed driver files. If you do not know this information, take a few minutes to locate it and have it handy (you will be needing it shortly). 1. Uninstall your current version of the Canopus software. 2. Start by opening the Device Manager in Windows. You can do this by right clicking on the "My Computer" icon then select "Properties". System Properties window comes up. Select "Device Manager" tab. In Device Manager, click the [+] next to the "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers" entry. You should see the DV Raptor-RT listed. Double click on the DV Raptor-RT to open the DV Raptor-RT Properties window. In the DV Raptor-RT Properties window click on the "Driver" tab, then on the "Update Driver" button. 3. You will now see the first screen of the windows Update Device Driver Wizard. Under “What do you want the wizard to do?” There are two choices, "Search for a better driver than the one your system is using now (Recomended).", and "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want." Make sure to select, " Display a list...". 4. Click the Next button and select "Have Disk" button (bottom right of device window). An, "Install from Disk" window will open. Click on Browse button, browse to the folder that you have uncompressed the drivers to (this is the folder you located earlier). Here you will see the DVRaptor-RT.INF file. Double click on this DVRaptor-RT.INF and the Install From Disk window will open up. Click OK and the “Select Device” window will be displayed. Click Ok and Select Yes on “Update Driver Warning” windows. 5. Click Next at the “Update Driver Wizard” then click on the "Finish" button. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click "Yes" to restart the computer and complete the installation.
