Do the Work of Three VTRs Simultaneously
By managing and selecting media clips, clip editing and trimming, and playout including playlist creation, the Turbo iDDR is a complete AV center within itself. It offers two playout channels for independent editing and previewing, or for delivering content to two different display systems simultaneously. And either or both of the outputs can be played out with HD and SD content on the same playlist. At the same time you can record into the Turbo iDDR, including connectivity from a camera or other media source through IEEE 1394 FireWire, removable storage devices, USB 2.0, and data transfer over standard Gigabit Ethernet networks.

Multiple Modes of Operation
Turbo is designed to give operators a choice in how it is run. You can drive the whole operation from the Turbo iDDR itself, via the interactive LCD touchscreen, playback control buttons, and the ultra-smooth Jog/Shuttle wheel.

If you're more familiar with a PC environment, you can attach a standard PC monitor, keyboard and mouse and switch into Workstation Mode, accessing all of the Turbo units controls within an easy-to-use application window.

Workstation mode has been quickly adopted by Events and Staging professionals, as it offers an easy-to-use "Show Control Interface" that easily replaces what used to only be achievable with VTRs. It allows the operator to create dynamic playlists that can include pauses after clips play, looping sections, and easy clip rearranging, even while the playlist is playing out.

Additionally, Turbo iDDRs support the Advanced Media Protocol (AMP), which provides control from external show automation systems via the inbuilt serial ports (RS-422) and Ethernet port.
