Designed as compact network devices, Grass Valley MediaEdge client set-top boxes operate as a video/audio-over-IP decoding unit with built-in MediaEdge menu browsing capabilities. Connecting to a standard Ethernet network, MediaEdge set-top boxes include a full-featured remote control that allows you to navigate through dynamically-updated content menus generated by the MediaEdge server. The remote control also provides volume, pause, search back and search forward functions. Additionally, MediaEdge set-top box units can be controlled remotely from the server, and also support the RS-232 device interface, for other external forms of control.
MediaEdge-STB3 clients can be used in any quantity as needed, with MediaEdge-SVS3 server software.
